At the world release of the new TONI&GUY Classics, Zak Mascolo Creative Director of the Americas and his artistic team lead us on a journey of English precision with Italian flair, a true mix of Britalian elegance. The Classics take the iconic cutting and coloring techniques that have made the name TONI&GUY synonymous with the “Harvard of Hairdressing” to another level. This simplified approach allows the newer hairdresser to master the techniques and feel confident in satisfying their clients needs in a much faster time frame.

The Classics are the foundation of the TONI&GUY cutting and coloring system. Zak personally created each of the 11 techniques to provide the TONI&GUY student and hairdresser with the tools necessary to master their craft and build confidence as a hairdresser.

TONI&GUY celebrated the 19th annual Photographic Awards and Creative Release at the Frisco Convention Center, bringing CEO Bruno Mascolo’s vision to life, of having students from all of the TONI&GUY academies nationwide together under one roof. Over 1600 attendees joined in the weekends celebration of creativity and awards. The Frisco Convention Center was transformed into TONI&GUY world for the weekend.

The evening kicked off with a performance by iconic Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blues dancers and then went on to celebrate 25 photographic awards winners, a mix of students and seasoned hairdressers. The evening culminated in the announcement of the coveted Hairdresser of the year which was won by Lindsay Baker of Newport Beach and TIGI Colourist of the year won by Jared Smith of Hillcrest Crossing in Dallas.
