Five years ago, Amy O’Brien and Jill Sires attended a Matrix training event in Palm Springs, California and were inspired by the Chairs of Change program unveiled there. They left dreaming of hosting an event where they could showcase local stylists and talent for a good cause. They made this dream a reality and today they are preparing for the fifth annual Rock the Look…Stylists Giving Back.

This charity event is a hair and fashion runway show that takes place annually in Waterloo, Iowa, with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

O’Brien and Sires work to make it bigger and better each year. This year, on May 16, 2015 at The Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center, Rock the Look will include appetizers, a silent auction, a cash bar and a dance with live music. The emcee will be a member of the Matrix family and a local radio host from 1057 KOKZ. There is expected to be nearly 600 people involved and attending in support of the event.
