As one would expect, there was a lot going with Madonna's 2015 Met Ball fashion.

To balance out the floor-length black dress that read "Rebel Heart," Wella Professionals stylist Andy LeCompte gave her loose, delicate waves to soften the otherwise modern look.

Get the look: Madonna's Loose Waves

STEP 1: Start with freshly washed and conditioner hair using Wella Professionals Elements Renewing Shampoo and Daily Renewing Conditioner. This will help hydrate, nourish and strengthen hair.

STEP 2: Prime damp hair with 2-3 pumps Wella Professionals LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir to palms of your hands and distribute evenly throughout hair.

STEP 3: Blowdry using a medium-size round brush to create volume at the roots.

STEP 4: Wrap 2-3-inch sections of hair around a 1-1/2-inch ceramic curling iron to create long, loose waves.

STEP 5: Lightly back-comb hair at the roots and brush through waves with a wide-tooth comb.

STEP 6: Lightly mist hair with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray to prevent flyaways.

STEP 7: Finish with Wella Professionals LuxeOil Light Oil Keratin Protection Spray to leave hair smooth, shiny and red-carpet ready.
