THE FIX: Sweet Sombre

Maggie Mulhern | May 11, 2015 | 9:27 AM

Andrew Jimenez (@andrewzaddyyy) of Orlando, Florida, executed a beautiful transformation on his client sporting a teal ombré covered with a level 4 demi permanent. "She hadn't colored her hair for 8 months," says Jimenez.

Here the artist shares the how to reach this sweet sombre:

Step 1: Apply Wella Koleston 6/1 with 20 volume from roots to mid shaft. Apply Blondor lightener with 20 volume from mid shaft to ends.

Step 2: Process for 35 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo.

Step 3: Apply Wella ColorTouch 6/71 with 6 volume to the lightened ends and process for 15 minutes.

Step 4: Balayage with Wella Freelights  with 40 volume blended with a bond builder.

Step 5: Process for 45 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Step 6: Apply  Color Touch 7/1 with 6 volume down to the midshaft.

Step 7: Apply Color Touch 8/1 6 volume from midshaft to ends. Process for 15 minutes. Rinse.

Step 8: Apply a bond builder and process for 10 minutes. Shampoo with Bumble and Bumble Hair Dresser Invisible Oil line.
