It's already happening but now it might become a legal activity.  Happy Hour in the salon or barbershop might be able to come out into the open in California with the passing of a bill, coauthored by Assemblyman Scott Wilk and presented by Assemblyman Tom Daly.

“This bill would additionally allow the serving of beer or wine without a license as part of a beauty salon or barber shop service if specified requirements are met,” the bill reads.

The bill states that salons or barber shops do not need a license to serve alcohol if     alcohol is served for free for services provided at the same price as services offered without alcohol, if the property is in good standing with the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, if no more than 12 ounces of beer of six ounces of wine by the glass is offered, and if the beer and wine is served no later than 10 p.m.

The bill now moves onto the Senate.
