Chris Dore, Scruples educator, created a platinum blonde tone that is perfectly on-trend for summer.

“One of the strong trends this season is heavy metal—the presence of many shades of varying metals found in haircolor,” says Mia Liguori McHugh, Scruples co-president creative. “From gold to rose-gold and steel to platinum, metal hues are everywhere. This beautiful blonde is an interpretation of the softer side of platinum. Rather than a golden-natural blonde, we have pre-lightened and then toned a natural level 7 to show a cool, yet believable blonde.”

Formula 2: 1 oz Scruples Power Blonde Conditioning Gel Color Toner (Ice) with 1 oz Pure Oxi 10-volume Creme Developer

1. Using Formula 1 in a virgin application, pre-lighten the hair to pale yellow. Here, processing was 30 minutes at room temperature.

2. Then shampoo and apply No H202 (No Peroxide) to increase retention by neutralizing residual peroxide. Condition, rinse and towel dry

3. Apply Formula 2 from roots to ends. Process up to 20 minutes at room temperature. Then shampoo, apply No H202, condition and rinse.
