Meri Kate O'Connor, Senior Colorist and Educator at Eva Scrivo Salons and Academy (@EvaScrivoSalons), NYC, shared this finish from the recent program held at the Eva Scrivo Academy. "Anna Lisa was one of two models for our Modern Ombre & Ecaille workshop," says O'Connor. "A natural brunette, Anna Lisa ultimately wants to be a balayage blonde. I felt that this would be a great
transition into an overall lighter hair color for her. The placement of the color also allows for greater dimension when wearing her hair up or in different summer styles."

Here O'Connor shares the HOW TO:

Step 1: Balayage the hair using Goldwell Silklift lightener (formulating with a variety of developers throughout).

Step 2: Then apply the product onto fine sections to create a ribbon-like effect.

Step 3: Process to a golden tone and then rinse.

Step 4: Glaze with Goldwell Colorance, 10g and 9kg.

"The service itself took about 2 1/2 hours, and I would have charged a client $360. At the academy we teach the art of balayage, as well as guiding students with business acumen and how to appropriately charge for this specialized highlighting technique."
