Alterna Haircare professional luxury haircare recently announced the promotions of John Powers to VP of Sales and Education, The Americas and Jennifer Rattazzi and Area Vice President Salon Professional, North America. Powers most recently held the position of Area Vice President, Salon Professional, North America, and Rattazzi most recently held the position of Director of Sales and Education, West.
In his new role as part of the Alterna Haircare leadership team, Powers will collaborate on all strategic decisions with and for the brand. Powers will oversee Rattazzi, as well as Area Vice President, Specialty Retail and E-Commerce, Myra Lessner and Rattazzi will oversee Director of Sales and Education, East, Kelly Melvin and the newly open position of Director, Sales & Education, West (replacing Rattazzi). In her new role, Rattazzi will drive the brand’s business objectives across the salon professional channel.

Powers joined Alterna Haircare in 2014 following leadership positions with both retailers and manufacturers, such as Lancome, Lord & Taylor, Goldwell and BSG. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Key Accounts at AHAVA.
Rattazzi has been a leader within the Alterna Haircare organization since 2008, during which time she directed sales and operations initiatives across the western U.S. and Canada. She has 20 years of experience in sales and business development, previously holding leadership positions at BMW and Joico.
