Bleeding Ombre
Bleeding Ombre

Colorist Amanda Stone (Instagram’s @yourfavoritehairstylist) created this “Bleeding Ombre” look. It’s a one shot process for creative colors!

“By allowing the blonde ends to soak momentarily in the shampooed red water, it captured pink and rosy tones of the permanent color and it lasts as long as a demi,” she says. “This also eliminated the process of having to dry hair and go back in to paint pink and rosy tones. It’s a flawless approach.”

Stone recommends trying this technique with reds, violets and fantasy colors.

“I used a highlift red (L89 Schwarzkopf with 40 volume) on the regrowth and ombred the hair with (Pravana 30 volume) lightener on the midshaft and ends. Then in the shampoo bowl, I strategically let the red bleed into the blonde during shampooing. This created the blended pink and rosy tones."
