The social flip

Social media is a great way to connect with current and potential clients.

Try flipping your social strategy for a powerful bump in exposure.

Put down your phone.  Stop taking pictures of client haircuts with your phone.  Ask to use the client’s phone.  Snap a picture of that fresh cut with their phone and ask them to post it to their social channels and tag you in the post.

You might have 2,000 followers.  If you are like most hair cutters, 1,984 of them are other cutters.  Yes your hair cutter friends will like your cut.  Perhaps they will even comment, but they will never buy a haircut.  We cut each other for FREE.  We have done that since beauty or barber school.  Your client might only have 200 friends.  Your client is an eye doctor.  Some of their friends are eye doctors, too, but likely none of their friends are haircutters.  Most all of their friends are potential clients.

This simple social flip in how you use the platform can pay big dividends in exposure and business growth.  An added benefit is the client now has a picture of their last cut in their phone for reference next visit.  You do not have to keep a phone full of client cuts.
