Macadamia Professional International Creative Director and Celebrity Hairstylist, Giannandrea, has been honored with a 67th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special for his work styling Christina Aguilera on NBC’s show The Voice.

“It’s extremely humbling to be recognized by the prestigious Emmy Awards alongside some of the world’s most elite hairstylists," said Giannandrea. “I’m honored to be part of such a great team.”

Giannandrea’s experience and glamorous styles are looked upon as inspirational, and he is recognized as a creative force in the beauty and fashion industry working for major editorial publications such as VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire and Elle in the US and internationally. One of the industry's most respected hairstylists, his impressive celebrity clients include Naomi Watts, Christina Aguilera, Chrissy Tiegen, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba & Kristen Stewart, to name a few. He joined Macadamia Professional as the International Creative Director in January 2014 and still holds that role today.

Giannandrea first styled Christina Aguilera for her live performance at the NBA All-Star Game in February 2015. He quickly earned her trust and was asked to be her personal stylist for all of The Voice live shows.

This is Giannandrea’s first Emmy nomination and the third time The Voice has been nominated in this category. The Voice’s hair department, including Giannandrea, department head hairstylist Shawn Finch, key hairstylist Jerilynn Stephens, Renee DiPinto-Ferruggia, James Dunham and Stacey Morris, was recognized for exceptional styling in episode 818B, the season finale.

Celebrity Stylist Dean Banowetz has also been honored with a 67th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special. Banowetz was nominated for his work in Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance.

Winners will be announced live on FOX, Sunday, September 20th.
