Kesley Reynolds (@khbkesley) is a freelance hair artist out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Her client came to her after an unfortunate reaction to chlorine.
“My client previously had a rooty beach blonde and she decided to take a swim in a chlorinated pool,” Reynolds said. “Her hair, unfortunately, turned green. She came in and told me she wanted the green out and a more natural balayaged, toned-down blonde.”
STEP 1: “I balayage highlighted her using Matrix V lights, Olaplex step 1 and 20 volume.”
STEP 2: “I low lighted her with Aloxxi permanent haircolor 1/2oz 8NN, 1/4oz 7N, 1/4oz 8R and 10 volume. I let these process for 25 minutes.”
STEP 3: Rinse (but the green wasn’t completely out).
STEP 4: Toned at the sink using Aloxxi 1/4oz 8N, 1/4oz 8R and 10 volume. “I watched carefully and left it on for about two minutes.”
STEP 5: Olaplex step 2 for recommended processing time.
STEP 6: Shampoo and conditioned.
STEP 7: “I cut a couple inches off of her hair, styled using Sexy Hair products and my GHD flat iron.”
