Ara Ko (@araako) of Floyd's 99 Barbershop in Fairfax, VA, posted this amazing transformation and we wanted to know more. "My client was tired of having blonde hair and wanted to tone it down without going completely dark," says Ko. "She wanted something that was easier to maintain and more subtle. She has also been trying to grow her hair out for a while and wanted long hair for a special date night so I color matched her extensions for her."

Here Ko shares the HOW TO:

Step 1:  Using Wella Colortouch 6/71 with 0/88 and 0/68 concentrate, tone the base and bring down into the blonde. Then tone every other section using diagonal back sections of the blonde with the same toner to create dimension.

Step 2 : Using Wella Colortouch 8/71 and 7/1 equal parts, tone the sections that were left out.

Step 3 : Tone extensions with 8/71 and 7/1. The extentions used were a level 9.

Step 4 : Let process for about 20 minutes and rinse. Shampoo and condition.

Step  5: Blo w dry hair. Dry the extensions and then clip in. Style with a 1 and 1/4 inch barrel curling iron.
