FORMULA: "Frozen Blue" by Janelle Blackburn

When we posted this beautiful "Frozen Blue" by Janelle Blackburn (@janelleloveshair) the response on Instagram was over 6,300 'likes.'  Safe to say,  it was a winner. We contacted Blackburn and she shares her formula here:

Step 1 - Lighten hair, painting from root to ends using Solaris Bleach 50 volume and adding Cotê Hair Quinoa Smoothing Oil in lightener with no heat. Process for 30 minutes.

Step 2 - Shadow  root by applying Shades EQ 6T on root, approximately 1inch down. Apply 2oz 9B and 1/2oz Clear to the rest of  hair. Comb root down. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3 - Shampoo and towel dry.

Step 4 - Apply Evo Fabulouso Colour Intensifier 20g repair conditioner and 30g blue to root. Apply Evo Fabulouso Colour Intensifier 200g repair conditioner, 20g blue and 5g platinum from blue root to ends. Brush blue root color into mid shaft. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Step 5 - Rinse and condition.

Step 6 - Blow dry and style.
