Thomas Osborn, Creative Director and Vice President of TIGI Education US, has been on the TIGI team since 1989. He is based at the TIGI Academy in New York where he designs courses to inspire hairdressers of all levels. Osborn also collaborates with the TIGI International Creative Team and with Anthony Mascolo, TIGI Founder and International Artistic Director, on new photo collections, advertising campaigns and on their backstage looks during Fashion Week, worldwide. This global artist stays grounded with a couple of must-haves: music and new kicks.
BORN, RAISED AND NOW RESIDES: Born in San Bernardino, CA. Spent a third of my life in southern CA (Los Angeles and San Diego), a third in Texas (San Antonio and Dallas) and a third in New York City (been here since 2000).
MY STYLE RIGHT NOW: I like mixing nice pieces with athletic wear, say, a nice pair of trousers tailored for the perfect fit mixed with a printed tee or long line tee and a pair of trainers.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE RECEIVED: Keep a positive mental attitude. Every day above ground is a good day. Stay gold.
MY FAVORITE TOOL: My hands and TIGI Joyride.
IF I HADN’T BECOME A HAIRDRESSER: I'd be a musician. I've been playing drums since I was a kid and music has always been my first love.
