Hairdressers learn early on that creating illusions is one of the biggest parts of the job: the illusion of an oval face shape, youth and balance. Hope Doms, an artistic regional manager for The Salon by InStyle inside JCPenney was inspired by illusions for this collection.

“I wanted to create a lasting impression with hair with color and shape,” says Doms, who used all Pravana Vivids haircolor for these intense fi nishes. “What we do in our industry as stylists every day is help create illusions. We contour
or add depth and balance to enhance beauty. This is our art.”
