This client came to the D-Rock Salon (DRockSalon) looking for an ashy, melted blonde balayage. Salon owner and master stylist, Don Dao took her and transformed her hair into just that with a tasteful balayage application.

Here he shares the HOW TO:

STEP 1: Using Wella Blondor with 30 volume developer and (with Olaplex), hand paint throughout the hair. Process for 20 minutes.

STEP 2: Tone the left over hair in between foils with Shades EQ 6T+9T. Process another 20 minutes. Check the balayage pieces making sure to lift to pale yellow blond. Rinse.

STEP 3: Tone with Redken Shades EQ 9N+ 9B on the roots for 10 minutes, and then pull through the ends. Process for an additional 10 minutes.

STEP 4: Apply Olaplex no. 2 for 20 minutes.
