When you're doing what you love, retirement might not be the thing that makes you happiest.

This seems to be the case for 94-year-old Faye Wright of Weslaco, Texas. Wright earned her cosmetology license in January 1940 and is still styling today, according to krgv.com.

To celebrate her 75 years in the industry, Weslaco Mayor David Suarez recognized her with a city proclamation, state Senator Eddie Lucio presented her with another proclamation from the state senate, and Texas' Department of Licensing and Regulation visited Wright to congratulate her.

The salon has been a family affair, according to KRGV. Wright's son recalls cleaning the salon before breakfast every day, and Wright's daughter, Brenda Forester, worked there for 20 years.

“This is her life," Forester says. "She loves it, and it's kept her healthy, I feel. And all those customers that have come through the doors all these years, they're like family."

Wright is an inspiration to the beauty industry, to say the least. At present, she hasn't announced any retirement plans.
