Rea Winter, a veteran Arrojo master stylist with years of editorial and educational experience has been named the first artistic director of Arrojo Studio’s flagship location in SoHo NYC. Concurrently, Gordon Nelson, a key player in taking the Arrojo product line to hundreds of salons across America, has been named director of sales and brand operations.

Announced on stage during Expo, Arrojo’s biggest event of the year, comprising of two days and two nights of education, inspiration and celebration, brand Owner and Founder Nick Arrojo sees it as an essential structural and conceptual change as the company begins a new era.

“With our recent expansion we now have three salon locations in NYC,” he says. “It’s important that the original, and biggest, facility in SoHo continues to break the boundaries of hairdressing while being a standard-bearer for all we do. Rea is a skilled, dedicated, and seriously creative world-class stylist. The keys are in the right hands.”

Referring to Gordon Nelson, Nick adds, “It’s a great story. Gordon’s father, Gordon Nelson, is one of my closest friends and my mentor. I watched his son grow up. When young Gordon came to New York, I gave him a job. He’s matured into a great leader. His hard work and visionary mind is the key reason why our Ambassador Program enjoys such growth. He’s essential to the direction Arrojo will take in the coming years and now he’s in position to lead from the front.”

Rea Winter has contributed to recent Arrojo collections, like Re-Aligned and Primsters. She tours with the Arrojo Artistic Team, presents on stage at iconic shows like Expo and Underground and teaches the Arrojo signature method of cutting to apprentices and in Academy classes.

Since joining Arrojo in 2010, Gordon Nelson has contributed to event planning, management, product development and the rise and rise of an Ambassador Program that takes Arrojo products to hundreds of salons across America.
