Kicking off Chicago’s America’s Beauty Show March 12, the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation is hosting its Beauty Changes Lives Experience, which will raise funds for beauty school scholarships and social awareness of how all appearance differences are beautiful.

The event will feature teams of new talent paired with a mentors from professional beauty brands, including TIGI, Mizani, American Crew, CND, Matrix, Redken and Wella, will showcase a beauty fashion show down a 200-foot runway at Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears.

Team CND’s “NextGen” artists will feature the three finalists from NAILS Magazine’s Next Top Nail Artist competition—MODERN SALON’s sister publication—in a final, multi-part challenge judged by CND co-founder Jan Arnold and NAILS editors.

To help celebrate and encourage social media participation and awareness, Pivot Point International will donate $1 to the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation for every selfie on Instagram that includes the hashtag "#shoutyourbeauty" -- the Beauty Changes Lives Experience campaign theme for 2016-- or "#beautychangeslives" now through August 8, 2016—with the goal of raising $10,000 toward the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation, the non-profit that raises funds for beauty school scholarships, professional beauty mentorships and continuing education.

The #shoutyourbeauty campaign doesn’t end after the runway, though—in August, Beauty Changes Lives will continue its mission to "rewrite the story" when it comes to beauty by inviting all salons nationwide to participate in a dedicated Shout Your Beauty Day. For details on participating, keep an eye on the Beauty Changes Lives Facebook page facebook.com/beautychangeslives.

“I try my hardest everyday to take a stand for my clients and their individual greatness. We all have greatness in us, it just takes time to hear what someone is really trying to say. Sometimes a person’s beauty shines brighter from the inside then it does from the outside. I want all my clients feel like they are recharged after they see me. I give all my clients the best service for who they are and their personal lifestyles.” -- Jamie Pierce, NextGen Team Wella, on how she helps clients “shout their beauty”

A highlight of the evening will be an elegant dinner paying tribute to Dr. Howard Murad, the 2016 Legacy award recipient.  The founder of Murad, LLC and a pioneer in creating the inclusive health movement, Dr. Murad will become the first skin care professional to be honored with the Legacy award. Previous award recipients include Vidal Sassoon (presented posthumously in 2012), Tippi Hedren (2013), and Leo Passage (presented posthumously in 2015). Dr. Murad is a long-time supporter of the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation, and Murad, LLC sponsored the first BCL scholarship exclusively for skin care professionals.
