Give Me Five

Incorporating one color of hair for volume or length might seem like the standard form of extension application, but to make hair look most natural, Hairdreams Master Trainer Erin Hayden suggests using multiple colors in the same range to add dimension.

"We encourage using five different shades of the same color scheme on each client to achieve a gorgeous, natural-looking result,” Hayden says.

Regardless of the Charlie’s Angel your client most identifies with, giving her only one shade of blonde, brunette or red will actually make the extensions more noticeable than if you choose a variety—just like when you apply dimensional color to natural hair.
