Using Her New Favorite Toner, @katieclairedoeshair

Anne Moratto | September 9, 2016 | 2:31 PM

Kate Wessman (@katieclairedoeshair) is a hair painting and balayage specialist at Cotton Salon in Lehi, Utah.  And this color she shares on her Instagram is, as they say, giving us life.

“Guys, don't be surprised if I have this hair soon,” Wessman says,  “because I am in absolute love with it. And the client is an absolute doll so overall I loved this whole process.”

FORMULA:

STEP ONE: Based her with Redken 7N & 6T with Wella 8AA.

STEP TWO: Once her base was smudged I went through and balayaged with Pravana Pure Lights and 10 volume just to blend the color down into the blonde and to remove little spots that are pretty much inevitable.

STEP THREE: She processed at room temperature and then we toned at the sink with my new favorite toner, Wella 12AA & T18 with Olaplex for shine, health and color endurance.

From Foiled and Damaged To Luscious Red

Maggie Mulhern | October 1, 2017

"This client had been doing full foils for years, and her hair showed it," says Tiffinie Morton (@hairbytiffinie). "We had been working on getting her hair healthier and decided to try something new. She initially wanted to go to a warm level 5 but I talked her into trying this to ease her into being darker since she had been blonde for so long." Details here.

Maggie Mulhern | September 22, 2017

"This was her first time in my chair," says Rachael Monahan (@Rachael_Monahan) of Jyl Craven Hair Design, Canton, Georgia. "She decided she needed a big change to find her herself a romance! She said 'Make it short, sexy, and all one color!' I said 'LET'S DO IT!'" Details for the makeover here.
