Jonathan Pozniak for essieWith designers presenting their collections for now and their collections for spring during the same week in September, Fashion Week is a bit more complex than in years' past. But one thing is sure, we're loving the manicure trends were seeing for both the later half of 2016 and the start of 2017, and we can get behind all of them.
TRENDS:
Gradient: The ombre look was elevated with using creme polishes with metallics. Whether it be with two colors or three, gradients are a fun way to use many different hues in a subtle, tie-dye-looking way.
Color Blocking: More bold than gradients, color blocking incorporates graphic designs and contrasting colors. If your client fears going full-out with this nail art, only use it on one or two nails with a coordinating color on the others.
Nudes: Rich neutrals elongate fingers and create an effortless compliment to fashion designs. Nail artists played with matte textures, shimmer and a variety of nude tones, making it a trend that is here to stay another season (or two).
