Shortcuts Gets Close and Personal with TONI&GUY

Following months of speculation, the new generation at TONI&GUY is ready to discuss the exciting future it has planned for the group in an intimate webcast powered by software technology specialist Shortcuts Software.

Creative director Zak Mascolo, son of TONI&GUY co-founder Guy Mascolo, and TONI&GUY Co-President of Salons and Academies, Debbie Webster, will be sitting down with Shortcuts CEO Paul Tate February 24th to discuss recent changes in the company and the industry trends they’ve seen brewing with the new generation of salon consumers and salon professionals. The conversation will be broadcast live on the Shortcuts website at 9am (PST).

Hairdressers and industry professionals will be able to log on to listen as if they were in the same room to hear the duo reveal details of their journey, including some new developments within the cool brand. They will also be able to tweet questions.

Zak took over as creative director of TONI&GUY after 10 years leading the TIGI Advanced Academy in New York and has since spent time focusing on extending the iconic brand across America. Education has been top of the agenda, with the company now comprising 26 TONI&GUY Beauty Academies nationwide and 36 salons. Massive growth is forecast in the rest of 2014, with new projections within the industry rumored to be on the agenda.

“We are really excited about the changes happening at TONI&GUY and we think other hairdressers will be, too,” said Mascolo . “We’ve got a huge network of beauty schools with a large number of young professionals that is pumping our salons full of next generation talent. Our focus is to provide a career path that keeps them inspired and at the top of their trade long after graduating. We’ll explain more in February.”

Shortcuts has had a close working relationship with TONI&GUY for more than 10 years and was the natural partner in this new period of abundant growth.

“We are delighted to be hosting this intimate tête-à-tête. As an innovative company ourselves, we value opportunities to sit down with other forward-thinking companies to find out what makes them tick,” said Tate. “This interview will discuss some important insight that we believe will be an inspiration to the industry and change the face of salons in 2014. We hope to see everyone there!”
