Empire Beauty Schools wants to say thank you for the courageous work local first responders do in the treatment and prevention of domestic violence, so all Empire student salons will be offering complimentary haircuts to police officers, firefighters and EMTs on Tues., April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"The fight against domestic violence is an important battle at Empire," says Frank Schoeneman, chairman and CEO of Empire Education Group. "Through our Empire Gives Back initiative, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and donations for local women's shelters across the country. Since 2007, Empire Education Group has been supporting the fight against domestic violence through Empire Gives Back as well as Cut It Out, a training program exclusively for salon professionals helping them recognize possible signs of abuse in clients."

In addition to fundraising efforts, Empire also offers free beauty services to shelter residents and their children, as well as educational endowments.
