THE EVENT: Dermalogica opens new Immersive Learning Center in Atlanta, GA.

THE DETAILS: Salon professionals, bloggers and clients gathered at the historic site of the Atlanta Steel Mill for the opening of Dermalogica's latest hybrid space. Offering consumer education, sales and professional training under one roof, Dermalogica's strategy is to make skin health more accessible than ever before by consolidating offerings and services, nationwide. "We are so delighted to bring our dynamic hybrid approach to our new learning center in Atlanta. By centralizing all of Dermalogica's key brand assets in a hybrid space, we can optimize the training of skin care professionals and give local consumers greater access to skin knowledge, as well as the latest in new ingredient technologies and other innovations from our team," says Jane Wurwand, Founder and Owner of both The International Dermal Institute (IDI) and Dermalogica.

HYBRID EDUCATION: An important element of the Immersive Learning Lab is the 1,200 square foot interactive classroom, featuring smartboard technology, Apple TV streaming, Wi-Fi access and energy-conserving LED light fixtures. Professional classes for skin therapists will include the full curriculum offered by IDI. As guests mingled the 2,500 square foot space, including a 600 square retail area, consumers were welcomed to receive one-on-one face mapping, Skin Bar consultations, complimentary Dermalogica samples and to experience the brand's signature 20-minute MicroZone.

LOOKING FORWARD: Dermalogica is expected to announce the opening of additional hybrid locations in cities across the United States in 2014.
