All Eyes on Guys: Men's Looks to Love

This year, "well-tailored" proves to no longer be simply a phrase used to describe a man's suit. it's all about structured cuts and strong shapes.

In his “Subtle Masculinity” collection, Matrix artist Michael Albor, a 2014 finalist in the North American Hairstyling Awards, was inspired by the work of fashion photographer Herb Ritts. Ritts was known for his blackand- white prints, primarily concentrated on sculpture-inspired poses showcasing muscle, form and definition of the body.

The shoot was an homage to Ritt’s Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani-era of editorial work. “His use of clean lines and strong forms to convey graphic simplicity was perfect for the tone of the collection,” Albor says.

Matrix’s Biolage Pliable Paste was the main product on stage. “It allowed me to add texture and hold to give the subtle clean masculine look reminiscent of the effortless grace of Hollywood actors,” Albor says.
