Farouk's color education ranges from CHI Academy on Tour, to CHI School Program, to the brand's educational symposium. Read on to discover more about the Farouk's color education initiatives with a Q&A with the brand. 

What color classes does Farouk offer at its advanced academies?
CHI Academy on Tour is exclusive to CosmoProf learning centers. Classes include: Collection Color, Cut & Style, Advanced Creative Color, Men’s Cut, Color & Style. New classes are coming in 2017 to CosmoProf learning centers in six locations with classes designed for them only.

What education and resources can a salon or solo artist expect to receive immediately, and then over the first six months, after switching to or adding Farouk’s color line?
Initially, salons receive an in-salon class, literature, manuals, step-by-step workbooks and technical support. If they choose to, we give the salon an option to book a followup within six months. Our color lines utilize the latest technology while providing hairstylists and their clients a safer and more environmentally conscious alternative. The educational team teaches each stylist not only the benefits but how to use the color to achieve the maximum results. Our goal is to help salons and stylists have a smooth color transition so we will support them with any education needs they may have.

What additional key color education initiatives are in the works?
At our educational symposium, a hands-on workshop for licensed cosmetology instructors, we will place a time capsule on the grounds with today’s industry advances by Farouk Systems, and pictures and quotes from the event. We are also working with Cosmoprof and Armstrong McCall to offer more color trainings in their stores and Learning Centers. You can find a class at Farouk.com.

What contests or competitions does Farouk have that salons or colorists can participate in?
CHI hosts color contests on our social media throughout the year; the next one will be in October and centered around the launch of our Color Illuminate conditioners. Salons and stylists can get involved by following our Instagram pages @farouksystems and @chihaircare and watch for details.

What would most surprise colorists about Farouk’s color education?
Within our CHI School program, we offer our top platform artists and educators for hands-on workshops, VIP events that provide both students and attendees full insight into the trends, and the latest coloring techniques from around the globe. Our educational team trains and creates the trends that will help hairstylists offer their own clients the latest looks and formulations.
