To celebrate the launch of Kenra Platinum's HiDef Hairspray, Kenra and MODERN SALON challenged stylists to show off on social media for the chance at winning some major prizes!

We asked stylists to upload their best finishes created with Kenra Platinum's Matte Finishing HiDef Hairspray using the hashtag #KeepItUndone. And the entries came poring in! We loved all the deconstructed braids, textured waves and editorial-inspired styles that look like they walked straight off the runway.

Kenra narrowed down ALL the entries from the talented contestants to their top 10 favorites, and then gave YOU the challenge of picking the big winner (what, did you think WE were going to do all the work!?).

The results are in: Congratulations to Hannah Holsomback from Birmingham, Alabama, for creating one of the most beautiful bridal looks we’ve seen!

As our grand prize winner, Holsomback gets an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to participate in a MODERN SALON Artist Session! This two-day photoshoot workshop teaches attendees how to up their profile within the professional beauty industry AND each attendee gets to create their very own photoshoot with the MODERN SALON photoshoot team of professionals (YES! That includes our insanely talented photographer, makeup artist, fashion stylist, models, it’s all taken care of!). At this Artist Session, celebrity stylist David Lopez will be on-set to share his expertise in navigating the industry and how he’s made it big.

“I can’t believe it!” Holsomback said when we called to tell her the happy news. “This is huge!”

Holsomback, who is a freelance wedding/special occasion stylist in Birmingham, always looks to her friends with long hair when it comes time to “play”—and enter contests of course.

“As soon as I saw the contest alert on @modernsalon’s Instagram page, I knew I had to enter,” she says. “That day I went to the professional beauty supply store to try the new HiDef Hairspray and I immediately fell in love with it.”

Holsomback, who always reaches for Kenra when styling brides and special occasion styles, created the look by first starting with Kenra’s Dry Shampoo to give the hair texture, grip and volume. Then, she backcombed the hair in the crown, and created a braid at the occipital. She left the top section out, along with the two side sections. She secured the braid with a hair tie, then curled those individual pieces she had left out and stuffed them into the braid. Then she finished the entire look for hold by finishing with HiDef Hairspray.

“I love the matte finish of this spray,” says Holsomback, who is @bighairedhannah on Instagram. “I feel like the matte finish photographs so much better than a high-shine finish because it doesn’t give flashback. With other hairsprays, when I backcomb it shows if I have too much hairspray in it and shows the tease. With Kenra’s HiDef Hairspray I didn’t run in that problem.”
