"The Bibhu Mohapatra model for this collection is young, strong, little edgy but still clean," says Amit Abraham, lead artist for the SS 2015 collection presented earlier this week during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The L'oreal Professionnel Artist stitched cornrows to honor the fabrics of the fashion to a pattern on pattern knot at the nape. "Tribal braids lead to a feminine chignon and create a modern finish," adds Abraham. Inspired by Jazz-age muse and heiress Nancy Cunard, the collection and the hair was all about the woman willing to break the rules.

Here Abraham shares the steps, but check out the video to see him in action:

Step 1: Prime the hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Seve Protectrice.

Step 2: Divide the hair into two sections, one on top of the other. Slick to a ponytail at the occipital.

Step 3: Create a center part at the top section and create two small French Braids.

Step 4: Secure and wrap ends around the ponytail underneath.

Step 5: Apply L'Oreal Professionnel True Grip to the ponytail and split into two sections.

Step 6: Braid the left side and secure with elastic. Lightly backcomb the right side and secure end with elastic.

Step 7:Using a black elastic thread, stitch to connect the braids.

Step 8: Wrap braided and backcombed sections together to create a voluminous chignon.

Step 9: Finish by spraying with L'Oreal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer and Infinium 3.

Step 10: Smooth flyaways with L'Oreal Professionnel Homme Poker Paste.
