Queen of Balayage Eva Scrivo is offering her tips on creating a power blonde. Eva Scrivo, founder of the Eva Scrivo Salons and the Eva Scrivo Academy, shares that creating a power blonde is never easy but with proper education can be a reality for just about any client. "It's about formulation and application," says Scrivo who is holding a POWER BLONDE master class this October 27 which will focus on Balayage, color theory and glazing (details on class below). In the meantime, Scrivo shares three tips for blonding:

1. Start with a neutral base color. Anything that is too warm at the root can look fake, formulate how nature intended.


2. Use the Balayage technique to paint bright, buttery pieces around the face. Hand painting creates more impact than traditional foils.


3. Beware of over-glazing the hair. Fresh highlights can be easily muddied at the sink, remember seconds matter.
