Pulp Riot, an innovative new hair color company, and SalonCentric, a premier distributor of salon professional products, have agreed to a national distribution partnership that includes distribution throughout the United States in all of SalonCentric’s 565 store locations.  The partnership also will utilize the distributor’s army of field and sales consultants and SalonCentric’s broad network of salon professional sub-distributors operating under the banners State Beauty Supply ǀ RDA ProMart.

Pulp Riot’s President, David Thurston said, “SalonCentric shares our passion for serving hairdressers with innovative products and education.  We’re excited to partner with them because they have such a large reach, yet they still maintain an entrepreneurial spirit.  Together, we’ve created a unique relationship designed to keep us in complete control of our brand, allowing us to maintain our high level of authenticity, and realize our mission to create a company where there are zero degrees of separation between artists who create products and artists who use the products.  With this partnership we’re creating a more effective and economical way to get superior products and meaningful education to professionals throughout the United States.  It’s clear to us that SalonCentric really understands our brand, and we’re thrilled to be working with them as distribution partners.”

Pulp Riot’s Vice President, Alexis Thurston said, “As a stylist my schedule is often unpredictable, and because of this I often find myself in a situation where I can’t wait a day for an order to get to me.  There will surely be times that even I will be in a predicament where I need a certain color and I’ll be shopping for Pulp Riot at a Salon Centric store. The convenience of store locations is going to be game changing, but the Pulp Riot team is even more excited to join forces with Salon Centric’s amazing Street Team and provide them with tons of support through education, events, product launches, and social media activity.”

Salon Centric’s Vice President of Merchandising & Planning Steve Orzel said, “As the company started without any direct sales force or distribution network, Pulp Riot has steamrolled throughout the United States since they launched their initial offering of 16 semi-permanent creative colors five months ago.  In announcing our partnership, we believe Pulp Riot is poised for even more explosive growth via availability in our national store network and through our team of professional sales consultants.  Over the years we’ve been impressed with what the founders have accomplished as leaders of change in our industry with their education and social media marketing, and we’re even more impressed with the color line they’ve created, from the innovative packaging and branding to its superior performance.  We believe SalonCentric and Pulp Riot are the perfect match and look forward to making Pulp Riot easily accessible to professionals throughout the industry.”

Pulp Riot is a hair color company that empowers stylists to think of themselves as artists while providing them with superior paint to create their masterpieces.  The company, founded by David and Alexis Thurston of Butterfly Loft and Butterfly Circus, also includes high profile stylists Rickey Zito, Ash Fortis, Iris Smith, and Jay Olson as owners.  The company launched in June shortly after it announced a partnership with Luxury Brand Partners, whose portfolio of companies offers high-performance products and top-of-the-line education.  In 2017 Pulp Riot has several new product launches planned.

Salon Centric is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla.  Their vision is to be an inspirational partner in the development and success of beauty professionals, and to bring them the best brands, best education, best technology and best business-building support.
