There were many magical moments at Redken Symposium 2017, but one of the BEST—because we were so intimately involved—had to be our class: How To Get Re-grammed By MODERN SALON. Editor in Chief Alison Alhamed and Beauty and Fashion Director Maggie Mulhern offered up 9 tips on how to create a perfect Instagram page to make it easy for MODERN to re-gram (or repost—if you prefer).

But we know it's not all about getting our attention! Our 9 tips offered shared the nitty-gritty about things like captions, bios, links, hashtagging, watermarking, commenting and of course the all important PHOTOS!!! We chatted about some successful salon industry Insta-stars (many it turned out were in the audience) and shared a bit about their own journeys.

The hour-long class was SOLD OUT (YAY!!!!) and many of the attendees were there bright and early (8 a.m.) to greet us as they came to set up. This was quite a wonderful surprise since there was a huge party the night before with dancing, drinking, etc. etc. etc.

This really was a thrill for us—getting to meet so many from the MODERN community and learning from YOU. To keep the ball rolling we posted—on our own Instagram page—a request to share your favorite Editing Apps (make sure to use them: tip #9 from our presentation). Please go check it out and add your own.

Thank you so much to people that did attend! We really #appreciate it!!
