A line that combines menswear, street style and striking graphic prints in a youthful way isn't necessarily an easy one to style from a hairdresser's perspective. But that was Kien Hoang's task with London line ZDDZ by designer Dasha Selyanova.

Selyanova was inspired by reflective gear worn by London cyclists and used bold prints in her designs that are fragments of political slogans cut in with random phrases found in newspapers.

Hoang worked closely with Selyanova to create a highly graphic look resembling cardboard to complement the clothes and played on the prints in the collection by spraying hair with bands of red, black and white.

GET THE LOOK

STEP 1: Create a perfectly straight middle part. Spray Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray or Thick Dry Finishing Spray and flat-iron hair horizontally section by section.

STEP 2: Spray Oribe Superfine Strong Hair Spray in section by section and flatiron the hair again.

STEP 3: Tuck the hair behind the ears and shoulders.

STEP 4: For an editorial touch, use a color spray to create bands of color in graphic shapes on the hair.
