This braided pony embodies hair that starts with a healthy foundation of care. Try Living Proof's Restore Perfecting Spray which allows you to work the hair without having to worry about the damage typically caused by heat styling, wet-detangling, or heavy products. It does all of the hard work for you!

Inspired by the red carpets of Hollywood, this look blurs the line between a casual and formal braid perfectly. Here, Living Proof's Global Creative Director Michael Shaun Corby shows you how to execute this style:

Prep: On clean, damp hair, spray Restore Perfecting Spray from roots to ends. Apply Timeless Plumping Mousse.

Step 1: Style using Comb-Over Blow Dry technique.

Step 2: Section off hair from Recession Point to just above the occipital bone. Section back with loose band to be later released.

Step 3: Create section from West Side to East Side and Toupage. Secure with two connected elastics.

Step 4: Toupage crown section in ½” subsections then smooth the top layer with Style Lab Flex Shaping Hairspray. Secure with chop stick for later.

Step 5: Gather Toupaged sections to begin Dutch Braiding. Continue braiding until you reach the South Point and secure with elastic.

Step 6: Smooth crown section over the top of the braid and secure with an elastic.

Step 7: Wrap the ends around the base of the braid and pin into place. Then cut elastic after ends are secured.

Step 8: Toupage and spray pony with Full Dry Volume Blast for extra volume. Finish with Style Lab Flex Shaping Hairspray for flexible hold.
