Sometimes making a statement isn't so hard.

Pureology Artistic Ambassador Natasha Sunshine shares how to achieve this pretty nautical knot using Pureology products.

GET THE LOOK: SIMPLE SUMMER KNOT

STEP 1: Before beginning, use a quarter-size of Pureology's Cuticle Polisher and apply evenly from midshaft to ends. Use a 1-inch barrel iron on the last three inches of hair to add polish to tips.

"In the images below, large sections of the model's hair were wound like a candy cane on the last three inches of the hair," Sunshine says.

STEP 2: Make sure you're prepared with clear or elastic bands that match the texture. If the client has thick hair like the model below, use extra-long bobby pins; otherwise, regular bobby pins will work.

STEP 3: Choose two pieces from each side, pull back and make a loose knot. Secure with a bobby pin. For thicker hair, crisscross your pins in an X-fashion for added security.

STEP 4: Repeat the process by pulling two more side pieces back and creating another loose knot. Secure with bobby pins. Add a blast of Pureology's Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hairspray for a touchable hold.
