COLOR UPDATE: Fresh Highlights For a Sunny Melt

Maggie Mulhern | July 12, 2017 | 8:48 AM

Erin Oliwa (@@hair_by_er) of Hands On Salon, Freehold, NJ, says her level 6 client has not highlighted her hair in more than 3 months.

Here she shares the details for the color refresh:

Step 1: Apply a full head of heavy, but fine weaved highlights using Schwarzkopf Igora Vario Blonde Plus lightener. Use 20 volume for the back sections and bump up to 30 volume for the top and sides. Process for 25 minutes at room temperature.

Step 2: Tone with Matrix SPV with 10 volume, blended with 1/4 Olaplex. Process for 10 minutes, rinse and then finish with step 2 of Olaplex.

"I love this result and her hair is still soft and breakage free."
