  • Complement the client’s features; Don’t be distracted by age


  • Select your client’s eye color
  • Select your client’s skin color
  • Select your client’s hair color


  • Offer a bespoke color service
  • Explain the technique and what you are doing
  • Explain the effects on the hair
  • Use descriptive words, avoiding negative notations


  • Advise on suitable Home Maintenance regimen
  • Provide hints and tips on how to re-create the look at home
  • Ensure rebooking for next appointment
  • List color formulation and technique in client’s record card
