Kristin Grip (@HairByKristinGrip) says client Delaney "was open to anything so I decided to make her a redhead!"

Here Grip shares the details for the makeover:

Step 1: Start by adding a dozen foils of Redken Flash Lift  and 10v.

Step 2: Then go through and alternate panels of Goldwell 7KG with two different developers, 10v & 20v, hoping to add a little dimension. Once the panels were in, apply a root color of 3parts 6KG, 1part 6KR with 15v. "Her highlights were the perfect shade of yellow so I opened the foils and let them air process as well while smudging the red into the base of each one with my fingers."

Step 3: At the shampoo bowl use a method "I call 'smushlights'. Smush the surrounding color on to the highlights during rinsing so that toning is not necessary."
