Take one look at the result, and you'll find it hard to believe that the story behind this color began with a full head of curls and a creative mix of Pulp Riot colors.

"My client is always open-minded, she'll give me a general idea of the colors she likes and she'll leave the rest up to me! I try to keep the damage as minimal as possible, with one service being the 'big overhaul' double process, and the next service, maybe two, we enjoy the fade on the length, just touching up the roots and leaving the ends untouched," says colorist Nichole Scharff, @niclynnhair.

When she came back for another session, her hair faded to a pastel rainbow with white ends. To create the Aurora Borealis Galaxy Color, she used a custom mix of Pulp Riot Nightfall on her roots, and combed lightly to melt the color into the length.

To finish, she rinsed with ice cold water. "The colors shifted slightly and left us with this beautiful final result!" she says.
