NYFW: A Détacher Fall/Winter 2018

February 12, 2018 | 8:10 AM

Edgy Statement Look Aveda’s hair and makeup teams complemented one another backstage at the A Détacher Fall/Winter 2018 show, each sending bold looks down the runway. Aveda Artist Jon Reyman created a unique veiled hair look while Janell Geason, Aveda global artistic director, makeup, painted bold statement eyes on the models. Reyman’s cool, rocker style featured center parts and airy hair finished with Aveda Brilliant Spray-On Shine. Geason created a highly-pigmented eye look using a blend of shades from Aveda’s new Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-mint Lipsticks applied to the lids.

Aveda Artist Hair Pro Tip:

"To achieve a cool, punk look, create a center part, then bend the two front sections of hair away from the face, clip and spray with Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray. Once set, remove the clips and use pins to keep the hair in place,” says Reyman.

Aveda Artist Makeup Pro Tip:

"For a bold watercolor eye, apply color with your fingertip, sweeping from the eyelid to the brow bone for a blurred effect,” says Geason.
