Until recently, clients with dark hair have often felt like wallflowers at the highlighting party. Dark shades often become brassy when lifted, and highlights can appear dull, flat or downright invisible. But metallic haircolor shades have changed all that. Shades like the new Majirel and DIA Richesse Metals from L’Oréal Professionnel offer high reflect concentration, intense visibility and shine.

It’s a new day for dark brunette clients—now they can be the life of the highlighting party! Here’s how to create this sparkling violet result!

L’Oréal Professionnel Formulas

Formula A/Pre-lighten: Blond Studio Platinium Plus + 40-volume Blond Studio Nutri-Developer + Smartbond

Formula B/Metallic Overlay: Majirel Metal .22/VV + 20-volume Majicrème Developer + Smartbond

Step 1: Pre-lighten select sections with Formula A. Process, remove and dry the hair.

Step 2: Apply Formula B to pre-lightened sections.

Step 3: Rinse and apply Smartbond Step 2 for 10 minutes. Shampoo with LUO Post-Color Shampoo. Condition and protect the hair with Serie Expert Powermix Repair Treatment.
