Dennis Joesph (@dennisjosephbabyliss) was a member of the Babyliss4Barbers Team before becoming the Director of Marketing for Babyliss Pro, both ranks he still holds. We love Joseph's crisp, clean work and the photos that capture that same aesthetic.

Salon: BaBylissPRO Director of Clippers/Trimmers, Stamford, Connecticut

Specialty: Geometric-hair-tattoo undercuts

Followers: 25.2K

Most viral post: My most viral post was my very first undercut video. It was a Victorian-style hair tattoo. This was the first time I actually shared a video of me doing a hair tattoo/design from start to finish.

Favorite apps: iMovie for videos. Other than that I went away from using any photo editing apps—the post that are organic and taken with a professional high-quality lens seem to do the best.

Favorite hashtags: #BaBylissPRO #ClipperNinja #modernsalon

I follow: @rukasthecat jalenvseverybody @samvillahair @Staygold31

Pro tips: Make sure it’s the cleanest work you can possible do! DO NOT PHOTOSHOP—once you start you won’t be able to stop. Always use the best lighting you have available and take the photo with a professional camera with a good lens. Try to use unique hashtags instead of just copy-and-pasting the same 30 on every post. I use three to five hashtags specific to the photo I posted; have fun with them!

Hidden beauty talent: I can do a long-layered women’s cut, a bob, and a men’s cut in under 12 minutes only using clippers #ClipperNinja

Hidden talent: Roller Hockey and other random sports (ping pong, pool, golf)

How social media changed my life: It allowed me to share my work with a larger audience. It also has introduced me to so many talented artists within our industry; I’ve made a lot of lifelong friends through social media.

The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: The first time I was featured on Modern Salons Instagram it was a mandala undercut. I remember all of a sudden my phone blowing up with likes and new followers. For the next two to three days, I stalked the post on MODERN SALON reading all the comments! I had been tagging MODERN for a year or so previously, so when the day finally came I was super excited and grateful.
