Neuma Beauty Gathers for Their Annual California Experience

The Neuma California Experience, an annual learning and lifestyle event that brings together the Neuma artists and team members, was held at The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, August 25-27. 2018.
Neuma staged their first runway show featuring the Style Collectives created by Global Artistic Director, Kathy Simon, and the Neuma design team. The collectives are four distinct aesthetics that include neuBohemians, neuUrban, neuClassic, and neuMinimalist and offer a focus for hairdressers to encourage experimentation in their use of product and their styling techniques.
“We are looking at what artists are already doing and saying if you’re classic, or your style is more bohemian, here is inspiration for you,” Simon says. “We’re also telling them, we see you, we know your taste, and we’re not asking them to fit themselves into something that isn’t true to who they are as artists. We’re just offering up some jumping off points.”
As ever, the Neuma family found time to hit the beach and sit around the fire for a beach barbeque. They also got their hands in hair with cutting and styling classes for each Style Collective.
Salon business classes were also on the agenda. Coach and consultant Bonnie Bonadeo presented “6 Ways to Create Brand Connection” while marketing expert Lisa Kovner hosted “Salon Retailing in the Digital Age” featuring Salon Republic Founder Eric Taylor.
