Brandon Maxwell’s Spring/Summer 2019 Collection drew inspiration from bubblegum Barbie. Models donned bright colors in classic feminine silhouettes for a modern version of the classic American aesthetic. OribeGlobal Ambassador, James Pecis, created a mix of styles including bouncy blowouts with volume and chic chignons to complement the fashion's vibrant hues.
This collection is a celebration of diversity and genderless people. With the hair, stylist Laurent Philipon embraced each model’s individual style and then created each of the hair looks based on their ‘natural state of being'.
Natural texture and shine were the hair trends seen from Evo at Mara Hoffman during NYFW.
"For me, the hair look was about letting go of perceived standards of beauty and instead, focusing on the beauty of the individual," says Gareth Bromell, Evo Hair Global Ambassador. "To celebrate the diversity of the individuals, i enhanced each model’s natural hair to allow their natural texture to shine. a simple look, providing a natural nod to all that comes from this earth."
A variety of hairstyles, from sleek wet looks to shiny skinheads to nonchalant blonde bobs to jaunty natural textures, combined with bold dramatic makeup to create the irreverent frame for Discount Universe’s in-your-face pieces.
Great Lengths Artist Design Senior Design Team Director Nanci Lee Randolph and Executive Artistic Director Danielle Keasling used GL Tapes tape-in extensions to add volume, length, and color enhancement for the Rachel Zoe Spring/Summer 2019 collection, presented this week at NYFW.
Aveda Guest Artist Frank Rizzieri created a DIY, nostalgia-inspired look for Tibi’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway show. Rizzieri used hair barrettes placed in various sections of the hair for a loose, pulled back style.
For the more refined looks, Eugene relied on Wella Professionals EIMI Perfect Me, lightweight beauty balm lotion, designed to create a natural style with smoothness to add shine, tame flyaways and protect hair from heat styling.
During New York Fashion Week, underwear and apparel brand Marco Marco’s Collection Seven joined forces with beauty brands for what resulted in a standing ovation during the finale of NYFW's first-ever line-up of all transgender models.
