Goldwell's new @Pure Pigments direct dye additives can be used to amplify vibrant shades with increased shine, tone-on-tone boosting and more--but they can also be used to create the most color effects on natural shades.

We sent MODERN SALON Artist Connective member Marissa Larson, a blonding and balayage expert, the @Pure Pigments shades to see the magic she would create--and we're pretty excited!

Goldwell explains that  @Pure Pigments don’t mix together — they sit next to each other on the hair so that each dye reflects its own color.

Pure Yellow, Pure Orange, Pure Red, and Pure Violet create a vibrant effect while Pearl Blue and Matte Green soften and counteract unwanted tones.

When combined with Goldwell’s color brands, @Pure Pigments are designed to create results with 63% more shine, shades are boosted by up to three-times the color intensity, and color will have two-times more resistance to color fading.

"I am in love!" Larson wrote on her Instagram post featuring the blonde. "I used Goldwell Colorance 10p and 3 drops of @Pure Pigment Yellow in her toner. This stuff is amazing! Color reflection like you’ve never seen before. Pigments of warmth and cool complimenting each other through different lighting!"

In the video above, Larson uses 3 drops of @Pure Pigments Blue in her client's Colorance toner to help even out her natural strawberry/orange hair color, especially around her hairline.

"She still wanted a natural gold blonde and I love that @Pure Pigments drops let me have complete control on how much I wanted to add!" she writes on her Instagram post.
