There are few things a colorist enjoys more than truly transforming a client from drab to fab. Making your client feel like a new person through using your own skills, creativity, talent and imagination can feel very powerful--and rewarding.

MODERN Facebook fan Carly Seaton, a stylist at Salon Elle in La Jolla, California, knows the transforming power she has as a colorist, and loves using L'Oreal Professionnel color to wow her clients.

In these three real-client images, Seaton shows off her mixing magic--AND the formulas she used to create these gorgeous results! "My inspiration for each of these was fall!" she says. "I love making drab color rich when a new season comes around."

"This is a before-and-after of my client who had grown out, faded color," Seaton says. "I used L'Oreal Professionnel Richesse Semi Permanent Color in 4.62 (4 Red Violet) and 4.15 (4 Blue Red Violet) with extra red shots. Her hair was sooo much softer and shinier!"

"My client in this photo was a natural Level 5, who had 100-percent virgin hair," she says. "So we created an all-over 6.1 and 7.1 L'Oreal Professionnel Majirel with 20-volume developer, and added some highlights using 10-volume L'oreal Professionnel Platinium. Her hair is thick and naturally long and gorgeous!"

"This client of mine is a natural Level 5-6. We used L'Oreal Professionnel Platinium with 30-volume developer, and then toned her hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Richesse P10 and P02."
