Often when we think of hair color magic (or #hairdressermagic) we think of creations brought to life with foils or painting techniques. But sometimes the most beautiful, jaw-dropping color results come from perfect blending at the backbar.

As a colorist and co-founder of WrightLane Hair, Jessica Wright @jessicawrighthair knows a thing or two about the perfect application. Her Instagram page is filled with stunning platinum blondes, serene pastels and meticulous finishes. We enlisted her to put her skills to the test using WetBrush's new Pro Collection. The results? A match made in hair heaven!

Taking cues from the professionals, WetBrush’s new Pro Collection combines elements of its signature brushes with upgraded designs. The collection includes the Pro Detangler, Pro Backbar Detangler, Pro Paddle Detangler, Pro Detangling Comb and Pro Shine Enhancer. New to this collection is the ergonomically advanced design, which includes finger rests and a rubberized grip handle for comfort and control, even at the bowl when hands are wet.

"I'm seriously obsessed with WetBrush!," Wright wrote on Instagram. "This Backbar detangler in my favorite for brushing through glosses! The AquaVent system allows for really fast drainage and easy clean up."

"After shampooing & towel drying my guest in the video, I used the Backbar Detangler to comb through her wet hair," Wright says. "I sectioned her in to four quads, applied my gloss from roots to ends, then used the Backbar Detangler again to brush in the gloss from front to back. Using the brush gives me extra reassurance that the gloss is even!"

The Backbar Detangler is available in four shades—Pink, Purple, Teal and Black—and features an expanded cushion area for faster detangling. The brush is ideal for all hair types, and tight lock technology secures the handle.
