Reema Jaber (@hairbyreema) of Hair by Reema, Mississauga, Ontario, says her goal with this first time client was to transition her from highlights to balayage, while completely brightening up her hair to a platinum blonde. "It’s always concerning to work on new client that wants to be platinum," Jaber says, "however this client's hair was naturally beautiful, healthy and shiny, and with almost absolutely no breakage after our session!!"

Here Jaber shares the details for the new look:

I immediately sectioned out a triangle where my client parts her hair (this is to create the money piece effect).

STEP 1: Section the triangle to include the preferred part. Apply a full head of teasylights/foilayage with some back-to-back babylight sections around the hairline and nape, making sure to fully saturate each section and avoiding any hair that was already a level 10.  Color used: Schwarzkopf BlondMe Lightener plus 20 volume. Process for 45 minutes.

STEP 2: At the sink, remove all the foils and apply wet balayage on the pre-lightened hair to brighten up the dull ends. Process for ten minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

STEP 3: Pre-tone the hair with Pulp Riot Purple Shampoo for 2 minutes.

STEP 4: Spray equalizing solution on the hair to balance the PH level of the hair and to allow the toner to tone the hair evenly.

STEP 5: Shadow root using Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance 7-1 + 6 volume. Process for five minutes.

STEP 6: While the shadow root is processing, apply Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance 9,5-21 + 13 volume for five minutes. Color melt using the FRAMAR detangling brush.
