This classic arching bob has very slight graduation on top layers of hair. “We reinvented this classic shape through styling to give a 30s-40s inspired look,” Cutler says. “Using 3/4" iron, we over-directed hair to create flatness at part line, then brushing out curls.” Key product used: Cibu Texture Addict Dry Wax Spray

“This disconnected bob shape incorporates short bangs in connection with internal layering, creating excessive texture,” says Rodney Cutler, Ratner Artistic Director. “We styled to create a new perspective— sort of a quirky doll-like look by juxtaposing the curls with straight bangs.” Key product used: Cibu Curl Magnet Amplifying Cream

“Working with natural texture, we refined curl shape with a small curling iron or by twisting around a finger to enhance the definition of the curl,” says Rodney Cutler, Ratner Artistic Director. Key product used: Cibu Curl Magnet Amplifying Cream

The Ratner brands— Hair Cuttery, Bubbles...The Color Salon, and Salon Cielo—each bring a different aesthetic to the table, yet their common thread is creating beautiful, on-trend hair for their guests. For the first time, the brands under the Ratner umbrella have one spring/summer collection that combine all the unique elements of each to inspire salon professionals and salon guests.

Rhyme and Reason: The Collection showcases cuts, coloring and styling in a fun, inspiring and uncomplicated way. The inspiration for the collection stems from the desire to explore new trends in fashion, style and hair design. Each look starts with the same foundational approach and next-level learning techniques, which allow individual personality and style to shine through. Similar to the Ratner brands themselves, the collection is about synergy—how each individual look connects and compliments the next.
